Accurate information is essential when you report suspicious activity. To assist the Pentagon Force Protection Agency, please accurately provide as much of the following as possible:

Potential Suspicious Activities


Surveillance
Unusual, repeated and/or prolonged observation of buildings (for example, with binoculars or video cameras), taking notes and/or measurements, counting paces or sketching floor plans.

Suspicious Persons or Items
Persons or items in an odd location, loitering for unusually long periods, emotionally disturbed persons, unattended luggage/package, or other out of the ordinary situations.

Eliciting Information
Questioning individuals at a level beyond mere curiosity about particular facets of a facility’s or building’s purpose, operations, security procedures; scrutinizing security personnel, shift changes, or facility procedures, etc.

Tests of Security
Actions committed to a specified location in order to observe the reactions by security and law enforcement officials. This activity may include active probing of restricted and secure areas with the intention of observing tactics, techniques and procedures of responding security personnel.

Deploying Assets
People and supplies getting into position to commit the act. This is the person’s last chance to alert authorities before the act occurs

Dry Run
Putting people into position and moving them around according to their plan without actually committing the terrorist act. An element of this activity could also include mapping out routes and determining the timing of traffic and flow.

Acquiring Supplies
Purchasing or stealing explosives, weapons, ammunition, etc. Also includes acquiring military uniforms, decals, passes or badges.
