A MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR
At the Pentagon Force Protection Agency, our mission is our motto: Protecting Those Who Protect Our Nation. For the men and women of our Agency this is not just a slogan; it is our daily reality-- woven into our training, our structure, and our operations
We are a standing, mission-built task force, constantly evolving to defend against a full spectrum of threats. We are trained and equipped to detect and defeat hostile agents, saboteurs, and terrorists. We provide force protection, security, law enforcement and numerous other functions to safeguard people, facilities, and critical infrastructure from the Pentagon itself to Department of Defense sites across Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.
It is a complex and challenging mission for a small federal agency, but thanks to a unified team of federal law enforcement officers, criminal agents, threat managers, CBRN and explosives technicians, anti-terrorism specialists, and support personnel, we have been steadfast in our task.
Since our inception on May 3, 2003, the Pentagon Force Protection Agency has succeeded in fulfilling the Department of War’s charter for providing a focused, streamlined and multi-disciplined force to meet the Department’s heightened force protection, law enforcement and anti-terrorism responsibilities.
For more than 20 years our agency has stood vigilant, 24/7, ready to answer DoW’s call and uphold our motto of Protecting Those Who Protect Our Nation.
