Ofc. LaQuanda Burgess is originally from our Nation’s capital, and has been with the PFPA’s Pentagon Police Division since January 2011. Prior to serving with our Agency, she was a part of the U.S. Department of State’s Uniform Division from January 2007-December 2010.
In May 2003, Ofc. Burgess earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology from Saint Augustine’s University.
“The best part of being a police officer is helping others and also giving back to my community.”
She also enjoys mentoring others who grew up in a similar environment as she did, and making positive changes in other people’s lives. “You don’t have to be a product of your environment.”

Ofc. David Mantilla has been with the Pentagon Force Protection Agency for three years, and is a 13-year veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, where he provided security to generals and flag officers. In total, he served 10 years in active-duty, and the remaining three in the reserve at Marine Corps Base Quantico.
Ofc. Mantilla is currently pursuing a degree in cyber-security, and is scheduled to graduate in March 2021.

Ofc. Devoras Murphy has been with the Pentagon Force Protection Agency, Pentagon Police Division since June, 2010.
Prior to that, Ofc. Murphy worked for Prince George’s County Sheriff’s Office in Maryland in the Domestic Violence and Fugitive Warrant Division from 2005-2010.
Ofc. Murphy also served as a member of the D.C Air National Guard 113th Flight from 1996-2002.

Ofc. Eric Maldonado has been with the Pentagon Force Protection Agency for 10 years. Prior to joining the Agency, he worked for a private security company following a four-year tour with the U.S. Army. While in the Army, Ofc. Maldonado attained the rank of staff sergeant, and deployed to Iraq for a one-year tour in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Ofc. Maldonado feels that Protecting Those Who Protect Our Nation isn’t just a job, but a wonderful opportunity to serve others in one of the most iconic buildings in the world.
