CHIEF OF STAFF
Mr. Cory Walton is the Chief of Staff, Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA). He oversees the organization and management of PFPA administrative processes, succession planning, internal and external communications, policy and strategic plan development, organizational studies, coordination of legal and legislative activities, and diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility management and compliance.
Mr. Walton serves as an advisor to the Agency Director in all matters pertaining to daily operations, and has comprehensive knowledge and expertise in engagement and strategic communications to maximize, integrate and coordinate PFPA senior leadership actions activities, and prioritization efforts in advancement of mission objectives. Mr. Walton brings more than 20 years of experience in organizational and leadership development.
Prior to being named Chief of Staff, Mr. Walton served as the Deputy Chief of Staff, Provost for the PFPA Leadership Academy, and the Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear Explosives (CBRNE) Program Manager.
Mr. Walton is a United States Army combat veteran who served for 23 years, holding various senior leadership positions throughout his career. Among his many military deployments, Mr. Walton was responsible for military operations in Iraq and other overseas locations. He retired from the uniformed service as a Senior Military Advisor, in August 2016.
He served honorably in the United States Army. Among his awards are the Defense Superior Service Medal, two Bronze Star Medals, and the Sergeant Audie Murphy Distinguished Leadership Medallion.
Mr. Walton holds Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Organizational Leadership, from Chapman University in Orange County, California.
