PENTAGON PASS OFFICE

This office services DoD civilians and contractors, as well as all military members who require a Common Access Card (CAC) or other access to the Pentagon.

The Pentagon Pass Office is located in Room 1F1084 (Metro Entrance) at the Pentagon.

The Pass Office is not a full-service DEERS facility. Please remember that we cannot make dependent or retiree ID cards. To locate full-service DEERS/RAPIDS sites, visit the RAPIDS site locator at http://www.dmdc.osd.mil/rsl/. Call to verify information before visiting a site.

Hours of Operation

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Please go online to make an appointment: https://rapids-appointments.dmdc.osd.mil.

Common Access Card (CAC)

CAC applicants are accepted on a walk-in basis. The CAC section services DoD civilians and contractors, as well as all military members. All applicants must have a sponsor.

Two forms of ID are required: One must be a local, state, or federal government-issued ID card that bears a photo (e.g., current/expired building pass, passport, driver´s license) and an ID that bear the applicant´s Social Security number (i.e., Social Security card or voter registration card). You must present your expiring CAC to renew your CAC.
