Dr. Walsh is responsible for providing a full range of services to protect people, facilities, infrastructure and other resources at the Pentagon Reservation and in DoD-occupied facilities in the National Capital Region. Within this scope, Dr. Walsh exercises the authorities of the Secretary of Defense under 10 U.S.C 2674 with respect to force protection, security, and law enforcement. Dr. Walsh is the DoD principal liaison with State and local authorities, and communicates directly with DoD Components and other Executive Departments and Agencies in carrying out these assigned responsibilities and functions.

He is the principle advisor to the PFPA Director on law enforcement and force protection matters for the Pentagon Reservation, the Raven Rock Mountain Complex and numerous DoD leased facilities within the National Capital Region.

Dr. James A. Day is the Executive Director for Security Integration and Technology for the Pentagon Force Protection Agency. He is responsible for the development and operation of the Pentagon’s comprehensive technical solutions across the chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and high explosive (CBRNE), information technology, security services, and systems engineering domains.
