As a veteran, you may be able to capitalize on your military experience and fast track your application to become a Police Officer with the Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA), by applying through the Veterans Recruitment Appointment (VRA) program. You may apply through VRA at any time. You don’t need to wait for a job announcement in USAJOBS.com

What is the Veteran Recruitment Appointment?
VRA is a special hiring authority designed just for veterans that allows our Agency to non-competitively appoint an eligible veteran. An eligible veteran DOES NOT need to wait for a USAJOBS announcement before applying.
You may qualify under VRA if you:
- served during a war or are in receipt of a campaign badge for service in a campaign or expedition; OR
- are a Disabled Veteran, OR
- are in receipt of an Armed Forces Service Medal for participation in a military operation, OR
- are a recently separated veteran (within 3 years of discharge), AND
- separated under honorable conditions (honorable or general).
