THREAT MANAGEMENT DIRECTORATE


About the Directorate:

The goal of the Threat Management Directorate is to mitigate threats through comprehensive analysis, assessment, response and consequence management.

Threat Management Directorate Duties are executed via:

  • Threat Analysis Center
  • Threat Investigations Division
  • Criminal Intelligence and Liaison Division

The Criminal Intelligence and Liaison Division is responsible for the following:

  • Liaison activities relative to special events and demonstrations
  • Criminal intelligence liaison activities with the law enforcement and intelligence communities relative to organized gang, drug and immigration investigations, and impersonation cases
  • Responding to and investigating all incidents relative to CI&LD responsibilities
  • Protective intelligence advances in support of CIPD protective details. (Within Reservation/NCR)

The Threat Investigations Division is responsible for the following:

  • Establishing, maintaining and utilizing liaison contacts and activities with the law enforcement and intelligence communities, mental health community, and judicial officers
  • Responding to all incidents of suspicious activity, other instances of TTP, and attacks by persons or groups relative to PFPA jurisdiction and responsibilities
  • All protective intelligence investigations
  • Protective intelligence advances in support of CIPD protective details. (Within Reservation/NCR)

The Threat Analysis Center is responsible for the following:

  • Collect and analyze information from liaison organizations and other sources for internal analysis and further dissemination within PFPA
  • Maintain and utilize appropriate liaison contacts within the intelligence and law enforcement communities
  • Produce Daily Director´s Classified Briefing
  • Conduct Daily Executive Intelligence Briefing
  • Produce Daily Intelligence Summary (Unclassified)
  • Produce and disseminate required threat assessments
  • Produce Spot reports based on actionable intelligence
  • Provide intelligence briefings to PFPA Headquarters and Directorates
  • Protective Intelligence Trip Assessments for HRPs
  • Protective Intelligence case work and administrative support

Key Functions:

  • Coordinate with DoD, the Intelligence Community and law enforcement agencies to obtain terrorism-related intelligence, protective intelligence, and criminal intelligence
  • Provide PFPA with protective intelligence investigative capabilities
  • Provide protective intelligence support to CIPD Protective Details
