About the Directorate:
The Integrated Emergency Operations Center (IEOC) serves as the PFPA´s 24/7 operational hub, maintaining situational awareness of the security situation and providing public safety communications services to ensure quick and effective response to all law enforcement, security or emergency incidents on the Pentagon Reservation and other assigned DoD facilities in the National Capital Region. The IEOC coordinates closely with other Federal, State and local law enforcement and public safety partners to leverage operations so that DoD employees receive the full spectrum of force protection.
Key Functions:
- 24/7 Public Safety Answering Point and Police Dispatch Center (911 for the Pentagon)
- PFPA Command and Control for DoD NCR — coordination with Federal, State, and Local agencies
- Provide public safety communications to Pentagon employees and visitors, and providing emergency notification during incidents and events
- Coordinate closely with DoD components, other Federal, State and local law enforcement and public safety partners during crisis operations
- Monitor alarms, CCTV cameras, and environmental systems and electronic security systems
- Provide emergency response planning and Pentagon occupant emergency guidance
